Hangzhou Bay New Zone Layout: With a view to future sustainable development strategies, the new zone is devoted to becoming one multi-functional modern service area integrated by finance &commerce, residential & office and tourism & leisure by taking drawing into technology, capital-intensive & high value-added service project as aim. People of the world can see top factories, high-level residential buildings and resort hotels here, as well as first-class wetland park in the world.
The overall layout of the new zone covers an area of 145km2 which has been divided into western, central and eastern section： |

| Western Section: It is 40 square kilometers expanded to both sides along the Hangzhou Bay Trans-ocean Bridge. Logistics, offices, vocational training, residential, commerce and other modern service industries on the east side of the bridge while luxury villas, star hotels, golf course, wetland park and other leisure, entertainment and tourist areas on the west side of the bridge. |

| Middle Section: It is for industrial purposes with 65km2 planned area which focus on advanced manufacturing industries. At present, 35km2 has already been developed. |

| Eastern Section: The planned area is 40 square kilometers which shall be used for realizing the integrated service complement function of commerce, residential and leisure as the economy, cultural and administrative center of the new zone. |

As the first station of north Ningbo to connect with Shanghai, the location advantage of Hangzhou Bay New Zone as the Bridgehead has attracted the investment enthusiasm of foreign businessmen batch after batch. A number of projects in auto parts, mold machinery, electronic information, intelligent home appliances work fields have joined in the 65Km2’s central industrial section where is developed greatly in recent years. Up to now, there are 247 domestic or foreign projects have been attracted in with a total investment around 34billion Yuan. The industrial output of last year has reached 25.1billion Yuan. At present, seven kinds of industries are under important cultivation and development: automotive manufacturing, intelligent household appliances, chemical fiber, medical devices, new energy and environmental protection equipment, space bio-medicine, food and modern service industry.
The implementation of plans: The accumulated investment in infrastructure facilities in Hangzhou Bay New Zone has reached more than 5 billion Yuan. The municipal infrastructure for the 35km2 in central industrial section has already been finished. It has achieved "seven connections and one even" standard. Thermal power plants, water plants and sewage treatment plants have been put into operation.
The current development focus on the international high-level business and leisure area. Projects under construction include vocational schools, technology incubation centers and other public platforms, roads and so on. It will create better development conditions for the rooted companies.
